ABOUT US

Message from the Director

Since our establishment in Hong Kong in 2007, I am proud to have seen the growth of MLSA into a thriving and ever-growing multi-sports academy with over 500 boys and girls enjoying football, netball and kindergarten sports with us on a weekly basis.

In Hong Kong, we provide a complete football pathway for players aged 4 - 18 years old and in 2018, this pathway was extended to include a senior women’s team, who now compete in the highest level of football in the country.

Over the years, MLSA has proudly boasted to have had a part in developing and mentoring many now professional and national team players (Hong Kong) as well as helping ALL players achieve their goals, whatever they may be. Indeed, whilst it is exciting to see the most gifted players become elite, we pride ourselves on guiding all players to discover their own unique talents and have success in a way that is personal to them. Our MLSA  philosophy is built upon our endeavour to develop great people AND great players as a singular process.

MLSA provides an inclusive, child-centred learning environment where coaches teach and children enjoy to learn and to grow.

MLSA's Future in the UK

My goal for MLSA in the UK is slightly different than in HK, as we aim to work alongside and in partnership with clubs to develop players rather than creating a 'club' of our own. I feel we can add value to players who can then take these skills into their club teams and into their lives off the pitch.

Our weekday Skills Acquisition Programme (SAP) will provide the opportunity for players to develop their talents and our more intensive camps during school holidays will provide the opportunity to not only develop skills but also to have some fun enjoying the sport. We also offer small group sessions (1:1 and 2:1) for those players who are really interested in the details and want to develop quickly.

Having taken teams all over the world to participate in tournaments and events, Sweden, Singapore, California, Thailand to name a few, I would like to also offer this opportunity to players in Leeds. I believe these opportunities are immeasurable in developing the whole person as well as team unity.
